Colm Moriarty, had a dream start to the 2003 season when he and Justin Keogh (Birr G. C.) headed to Australia in February to represent Ireland in the New South Wales Medal and the New South Wales Championship. Colm returned rounds of 64,67, 68 and 70 to leave the International field in his slip-screen, in The Medal.
Then it was on to Sydney for the Championship where he completed the double in the match-play Championship never been taken past the 34th hole.
