Congratulations to Pat Foley on retaining his crown in the National putting championship on the 14th September 2000, at Mount Juliet putting course. The putting course at Mount Juliet is par 53, with pars 2, 3, and 4, which include bunkers, water-hazards and massive breaks, is something else. There is nothing like it in Europe.
Pat beat a strong field, with Christy O'Donovan of Skibbereen coming second, Cillian O'Brolchain of Killiney coming in third and Walker Cup star, Jody Fanagan of Milltown, coming home fourth. Frances Long won the Midland Junior Championship in 1976.
