Course Description
Cairndhu Golf Club was founded in 1928, is located on over 200 acres of mature parklands and rolling hills. Undoubtedly one of the most scenic courses in Ireland, with spectacular views of, the Sallagh Braes, the Scottish islands and coastline and the Glens of Antrim.

Designed by J. F. Morrison part of the Colt, Allison and Morrison firm of course architects, Cairndhu measures 5,611 metres with a Par-70 and a standard scratch of 69 off the white tees. It has many feature holes not least the 146 metres 2nd index 13 with the tee over 300 feet above sea level, depending on wind conditions it can play anything from a 9 iron to a 3-wood. This is followed by a formidable Par-4 at 383 metres with an index 3. The tee shot requires a carry of 160 metres to a narrow fairway, followed by a shot to the green below with bunkers to the left and a chasm to the right.

The back nine is 385 metres longer and the feature hole is the 375 metres 10th index 4 regarded by many professions as one of the best driving holes in Ireland. The 12th is another long Par-4 at 409 metres index 2 is a tight driving hole with a long second to a well-protected green.

Cairndhu is renowned for the genuinely friendly welcome extended to visitors and you are assured of memorable days golf. Societies are welcome and group rates are available.
